Menu Monday: What’s for dinner?

Welcome to Menu Monday! Usually I take pictures of the previous week’s meals and post them so I can tell you whether I recommend them or not. But. And that is a BIG Kardashian BUTT. Do you want to know what happens when you blow your grocery budget on random stuff at Sam’s and then decide not to feel like menu planning for the week? You cook the most random stuff! haha

No proud of this but it happens, right? No one is perfect. I guess I can cut myself a break and just do better this week.

So we ate a lot of these…

And a lot of this…

And then I had a bake fest on Saturday and made all of this…

Then while I super duper cleaned the kitchen, baked all of that I decided to shred all of my cheese I had on hand and save myself time during the week…

And then I bagged it up to freeze…

So, how was your weekend? What is on your menu for the week? Do you shred your own cheese? Do you meal plan or fly by the seat of your pants? :)

Yes, I shred my cheese all at once too! I use my food processor and do it all on shopping day (or the first time I need cheese in my weekly meal plan) so I only have to worry about washing it out once. I will do the same for veggies that need chopping, but only for the first half of the week so everything is still fresh. Thank you for sharing!

Looks to me like you accomplished a lot there! We go through a ton of cheese around here. I haven’t shredded our own yet, it just seems like it would take forever to get the amount we need. But I guess I could research it more.

I think you balanced your mac n cheese well with a good dose of veggies.

We all have weeks like that Erin, where even the best planned menu’s just don’t happen. You still got A LOT done with all that baking, and deep cleaning your kitchen to boot! Which reminds me, my kitchen could use a good scrubbing right now… Thanks for hosting and have a great week! :)

When life is smooth I do pretty good at meal planning, but when a wrench gets thrown in there its the first thing to go. I try to have freezer meals for those times, but doesn’t always happen. I had a bake fest Saturday too and baked up a bunch of Banana bread and muffins. Yummy! Thank you for hosting!

Great work with the baking! I need to do a session; I’m getting lots of requests for snacks. Just no time this week.

  7. I’ve had weeks like that :) We don’t eat enough cheese (husband doesn’t like it) around here for me to justify spending my time shredding my own. Thanks for hosting!
