This week was an ultimate fail at taking pictures of our food. Please forgive me! We did have one night that I captured our goodness. I made lasagna roll ups with leftover lasagana parts a few weeks ago and froze it. I sauteed some fresh green beans in olive oil and garlic and made some homemade garlic cheese bread. It was all amazing! Other than that we had a ton of leftovers, breakfast and other hodge podge last week. I swear MLK Jr. day through me off. Yeah, I will blame that. haha
So here’s to hoping that next week I do a better job!
I get asked a lot of questions about how we keep our food bill down when it comes to snacks. First off, I don’t buy fruit snacks. Ever. THESE are our fruit snacks. My kids are berry eating fools. I get them at Aldi for $1.19 a package. I also get tons of apples, bananas and pears. I try to mix it up. Seasonally we get different fruits. THESE are the nutrients I want in my kids tummy’s. NOT chemicals I can’t pronounce. I just don’t buy them. They are not a good deal. So that is our secret. LOTS of fruit in our house.
